President

The President is the Chief Executive Officer fo the Association.

President-Elect

The President-Elect shall, in the absence of the President, act in the President's stead.

Secretary

The Secretary is the custodian of all records for the Association.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is the custodian of the Association funds.

Past President

The Past President serves as a resource of knowledge and counsel to the President and the other members of the Board of Directors.

Center Administration Director

The Center Administration Director is responsible for the overall operations of the Civic Association Center. The Center includes the Association's building, furnishings, equipment, facilities and grounds.

Education Director

The Education Director is responsible for administering and promoting an education program for the PGICA which provides both a community service and benefits the Association.

Government Liaison Director

The Government Liaison Director monitors the work of Punta Gorda and Charlotte County governing bodies on matters of interest to the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association and its members.

Planning Director

The Planning Director is responsible for strategic, operational and long-range planning to ensure the future well-beling of the Association.

Membership Relations Director

Membership involvement in the PGICA is vital to the success of the Association. The Membership Relations Director is the liaison between the PGICA Board and sanctioned clubs and groups in the Association. In addition, the Membership Relations Director is responsible for implementing, monitoring and reporting membership recruitment and retention efforts to ensure appropriate actions and adjustments for maximum membership results.

Health, Safety and Welfare Director

The Health, Safety and Welfare Director develops and supports initiatives that provide on-going and embergy aids to our community. The Director is the liaison between the PGICA, Punta Gorda Isles residents, city, county and state emergency services and other related government and community organizations involved in the promotion of the health and safety of our citizens.

External Relations Director

The primary responsibility of the External Relations Director is to increase awareness of the Association and the value of its membership throughout the Punta Gorda community.

Board Member Expectations

• Involve members of the Association in committees, as appropriate
• Engage in Association functions
• Submit director reports in a timely manner and attend all board meetings
• Avoid conflict of interest situations by full disclosure
• Maintain professional and ethical standards
• Maintain confidentiality of conversation specifics at board meetings in order to promote free discussion among fellow board members
• Support board decisions once voted upon, regardless of your position
• Prepare articles for The Commentator if asked, in a timely manner
• Read and understand the bylaws and the policy and procedures manual
• Recommended to wear name badges at all Association functions
• Serve on the committees of the board as requested by the president
