About Zeffy
Zeffy is the platform we use to manage ticket sales. There is also an option for sponsors and donors to utilize Zeffy. They offer their services completely free to nonprofits like ours—no monthly fees, no transaction fees, and no percentage cuts from your ticket price.

Why You Might See An Extra Charge
At checkout, Zeffy suggests an optional contribution to support their platform. This amount is automatically added unless manually adjusted.

How To Remove The Fee
• Look for the section labeled "Support Zeffy" during checkout.
• You'll see a suggested amount—this can be changed.
• Simply select "Other" and enter $0 if you prefer not to contribute.

Why We're Sharing This
We've noticed that some guests weren't aware of this optional fee and requested refunds. We want to make sure everyone feels informed and empowered when purchasing tickets.

Save the Date for the 2027 Home Tour

The Share the Love for the Kids Home Tour is an annual event in which Punta Gorda homeowners and local builders open their homes for public tours. A fun day for all to view gorgeous new or remodeled homes and to pick up a few design tips or décor ideas to spice up your own place.

Mark your calendars and plan to join us on Saturday, February 27, 2027!

The proceeds from the event benefit eight local children’s charities in our community, providing much-needed resources and support to those who need it the most. Community participation not only contributes to a memorable and successful event, but will bring hope and joy to countless young hearts.

The members of Beyond Ourselves are deeply grateful for the community's support and commitment to our cause. Together, we are making a difference and creating a brighter future for the children of Charlotte County.

Donations Needed!

Donated items are always needed for both the Charlotte CARE Center and the Peace River Wildlife Center, especially through the summer months when our population decreases. Please consider helping these organizations by utilizing the donation bins located in the lobby of the PGICA. Wish lists for each organization are attached to the bins. Member volunteers will collect any donated items and make sure they are distributed to those in need.

Beyond Ourselves is the community service organization of the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association (PGICA).

We meet on the third Wednesday of the month, September through May, at 10:00 AM at the PGICA building
located at 2001 Shreve Street in Punta Gorda. Visitors are always welcome to attend. Click here to learn

In March 2012, a group of caring residents of Punta Gorda Isles decided to form an organization with their goal:
to serve others in the community. This marked the beginning of Beyond Ourselves.

Our Three Missions:

Mission 1: Helping the children’s charities of Charlotte County

Mission 2: Aiding the homeless of Charlotte County

Mission 3: Protecting the wildlife of Charlotte County

Our largest annual fundraising event is held in the spring, the Share the Love for the Kids Home Tour. Proceeds from the Share the Love for the Kids Home Tour support eight local children’s charities within Charlotte County.

We also hold a fall fundraiser which supports the Peace River Wildlife Center and the Charlotte CARE Center (formerly known as the Homeless Coalition). Past events have included the Sip & Savor Series, evenings of food and wine/beer tasting, as well as the Beyond Ourselves Bash (the “BOB”), an evening of dinner and dancing. In 2026, Beyond Ourselves will hold their inaugural golf event, Chip In For Charity.

We also coordinate a variety of ongoing activities in an effort to support our missions.

	Special Announcements
	On the first Saturday of every month, Beyond Ourselves member volunteers serve dinner at the Charlotte CARE Center (CCC). You don’t have to be a member of Beyond Ourselves in order to help; If you wish to volunteer to serve dinner at CCC, contact Lynn Rogers directly via email at earthlynn25@yahoo.com.


	Every Wednesday, Beyond Ourselves member volunteers pick up donations of perishable food from Publix and deliver it to the Peace River Wildlife Center (PRWC), ensuring the wildlife receives much-needed food that might otherwise be thrown away. Nancy Klaren coordinates these volunteers. If you wish to help, please send an email to BeyondOurselvesPuntaGorda@gmail.com.


	Beyond Ourselves member volunteers assist at the twice-yearly PGICA Shred Event by unloading boxes of paper from members' cars during this drive-thru event. Volunteers also collect cash donations for both the Peace River Wildlife Center (PRWC) and the Charlotte CARE Center (CCC). You'll also see the Fabulous Finds Re-Sale Store donation truck at the shred events, supporting CCC's mission. 	Members of Beyond Ourselves took advantage of a beautiful day on April 15, 2026 to hold their Home Tour check presentation in the outdoor pavilion of the PGICA. We were proud and excited to award the proceeds from the 2026 Share the Love for the Kids Home Tour, $90,000 in total, to eight local children’s charities. Charity representatives, sponsors, donors, volunteers and PGICA board members were on hand to help us celebrate the allocation of these funds. The charities that benefitted are A.N.A.’s Friends, Back Pack Kidz, Crossroads Hope Academy, Families in Transition, Health Start, Imagination Library, St. Vincent de Paul, and Valerie’s House.


	At our regular meeting on December 17, 2025, Beyond Ourselves members were proud to be able to distribute the funds raised from our fall Sip & Savor events, donating $6,190 to the Peace River Wildlife Center and $6,190 to the Charlotte CARE Center. A huge thank you to all of those who contributed to the success of these events, including our sponsors, donors and all those folks who purchased tickets. We’re proud to be fulfilling two of our club missions, protecting the wildlife and aiding the homeless of Charlotte County.
