Can you believe it’s May already? After the successful cruise to points south, we thought it would be a great time to have a local cruise while the weather is great, and the temperatures aren’t too hot. As discussed at the May 1st Member Meeting, Cruise Captain Mark Snyder has organized a PGIslanders cruise to Pelican Bay, arriving Friday, May 9 and departing Sunday, May 11. Tides are good for the weekend with near full moon.
We already have seven vessels signed up and would like to have more. We have some new members we’d love to get to know, as well as some folks considering membership. All are welcome. If you have neighbors who own a boat, invite them to join us and show them what a great group the PGIslanders are! Come for one night, both nights, or just the day.
The Snyders will host “docktails” on Wanderlust Friday evening at 6:00pm. Please bring your own beverages and an appetizer to share.
On Saturday, there’s lots to do – dinghy in Manatee Cove, relax in the sun, hang out on the sandbar, go for a swim, etc. We may be arranging blind dinghy races, so bring your dinghy and oars! In the evening, we’ve made 7:00pm dinner reservations at Cabbage Key. We have twelve signed up for dinner, already, and we can update the number when we get more RSVPs. Mark Janus on Surface Tension has offered to transport attendees from the anchorage to the restaurant and back.
If interested, please contact Mark by emailing svwanderlust39@gmail.com, or dropping a call/text to (425) 985-0253.
Hope to see you there!
