Come join us Saturday, Oct 26th with a POPUP cruise to the local sandbar....
The "Sand Dollar Bar" powered by the Seafarers Club!!!
Past events here, we've had 10-12 boats and 50-60 people! Great music cranking across the water, an impromptu conga-line and lots of Seafarers enjoying Southwest Florida weather!
We will anchor off the "Sand Dollar Bar" sandbar (2 miles from Alligator Creek). At 11:00 am, this sandbar will likely be exposed as low tide is early afternoon and it is VERY LOW. The sandbar runs about 1/2 mile north to south, there is plenty of water to the west of the sandbar.
Leave the chairs behind .. floats and rafts are the order of the day. A nice sandy bottom in shallow water. You can stand knee-waist deep on the sandbar with a cold beverage!
This event is an "IN THE WATER EVENT!!" You can paddle SUPs along the mangroves, and SUPs also make great floating bars!
The sandbar is roughly 1/2 mile offshore from the mangroves. Anchor 50-100 yards west of that. The water west of the sandbar is 1-4 feet with a VERY gradual shallowing west to east.
Bring your own boat or jetski or or make a friend in the club and jump on with someone else! If you have room on your boat, please ask another Seafarer to join!
We are shooting for arrival by 11:00am. Staying for a couple of hours. We will be monitoring VHF channel 69 that day (boat name CHAPTER 2.5, a blue pontoon boat with large USA and FLORIDA flags) or call on the phone. For those who have questions in advance, feel free to call or text.
You can call me in advance if you want to meet us outside Alligator Creek and follow us down.
PLEASE SIGN UP IF YOU ARE COMING, so that I can notify everyone of last minute changes.
