Last year, the Home Tour introduced a fun Scavenger Hunt for tour ticket holders. BOS member and graphic designer extraordinaire, Linda Taylor, dreamed up the idea and included photos from various homes for guests to try to find as they enjoyed the Home Tour. From all of the correct email responses sent to BOS, Heather Myers’s name was randomly chosen to win two tickets to the 2025 Share the Love for the Kids Home Tour which supports children’s charities in Charlotte County. This week, Heather was so jazzed to collect her free tickets from Ticket Committee Chair, Pat Smith.

We’ll be doing the Scavenger Hunt again this year so check out the details when you pick up the official 2025 HT booklet at the PGICA on the day of the event, Saturday, March 1, 2025.

About Us

Beyond Ourselves is the community service organization of the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association (PGICA).

We meet on the third Wednesday of the month, September through May, at 10:00 AM at the PGICA building
located at 2001 Shreve Street in Punta Gorda. Visitors are always welcome to attend. Click here to learn

In March 2012, a group of caring residents of Punta Gorda Isles decided to form an organization with their goal:
to serve others in the community. This marked the beginning of Beyond Ourselves.

Our Three Missions:

Mission 1: Helping the children’s charities of Charlotte County

Mission 2: Aiding the homeless of Charlotte County

Mission 3: Protecting the wildlife of Charlotte County

Our two largest annual fundraising events are the Beyond Ourselves Bash (BOB) and the
Share the Love for the Kids Home Tour. We also coordinate a variety of ongoing activities in an effort to
support our missions.

	Special Announcements

	Mark your calendars for the Share the Love for the Kids Home Tour taking place on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For more information, visit the Home Tour page on our website. Tickets for the 2025 Home Tour go on sale on February 3, 2025.


	Join us at the Shred Event for PGICA Members on Wednesday, April 16th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Members of Beyond Ourselves will be on hand to help facilitate the event, as well as to collect donations for the Peace River Wildlife Center and the Charlotte CARE Center (formerly the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition).


	A huge thank you to all who purchased tickets and attended the 2024 Beyond Ourselves Bash (BOB). The 2024 BOB had 194 attendees and raised $40,524 for the Charlotte CARE Center (formerly the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition) and the Peace River Wildlife Center (PRWC). We are thankful for our donors, sponsors and volunteers!
