If you’ve ever been to a Jimmy Buffett Concert, you know that the tailgate party before is just as good as the show itself. The displays are decorative, the appetizers are appealing, the cocktails are creative, the Cheeseburgers in Paradise are palatable, the desserts are delicious, and the outfits are outrageous! Barefoot Reggie Starrett is a singer/songwriter from Georgia but loves nothing better to play and sing on the coastal waterfronts of Florida. He has a Jimmy Buffet vibe to his style, but you’ll hear all sorts of songs from country to soft rock to classic bar music, not to mention some Christmas carols mixed in! The PGI Newcomers Club Social Committee is hoping for your support to bring all of this and more to life at this year’s Christmas party: Christmas in PuntaGordaville!

Please consider gathering a team of up to 8 people (4 couples max, but a 5th will be considered if new members) to decorate a table (max 8 feet) in a Jimmy Buffett Concert / Key West / Margaritaville theme. Then, prepare an appetizer, drink, and/or dessert to share with other members. These should all be mini / small serving sizes for roughly 100 people to taste. Teams are responsible for supplying their own table, decorations, and ingredients. There are limited power sources, but please bring extension cords if needed. The club will provide small plates, cocktail napkins, and small (~4oz) cups. Sign-Up Sheets will be available at upcoming Happy Hours (until space runs out), but you can also call Donna to add your team. AS OF 10/23, THERE ARE ONLY 4 TABLE SPOTS STILL AVAILABLE, SO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SIGNED UP WITH DONNA IF YOU WANT TO ENTER A TABLE IN THE CONTEST AND PROVIDE A FOOD/DRINK ITEM. The Gilchrist Park Pavilion will be ready thirty minutes prior to party start time for set-up.

Participating on a team is not mandatory, so if that’s not your thing, we hope you will still dress up – island style and join us. Tailgate chairs are encouraged, as there is limited seating at picnic tables under the large pavilion at Gilchrist Park.
Pre-registering on our website is necessary by November 26, but please register early for the committee's planning purposes. UPDATE: Thanks to your generous donations to the 50/50 raffles at happy hours, admission is complimentary to NCC MEMBERS. Tickets for non-member guests are $15 each and should be limited to significant others and out of town company. Non-member tickets must be paid in advance by 11/26 to PGI Newcomers Club and given to Donna at an upcoming event or leave at PGICA, labeled for Newcomers Club. Tickets include your “Cheeseburger in Paradise” provided by the Sausage Express Food Truck and party favor. If you need a vegetarian meal, please notify Donna when you register. While drink samples will be available from team competitors, please supplement with your own beverages of choice. Small coolers are allowed, but no glass in the park.
Raffle tickets will be sold for drawings of various restaurant gift certificates. Cash collected will cover the team prizes to defray their expense of helping to feed and ‘hydrate’ the attendees. Please be generous with your raffle purchases and bring cash. We already have gift cards from Village Fish Market, Dean's, Hurricane Charley's, Nino's Bakery, Laishley Crab House, Ichiban Steak House, Isabel & Annabel's, Pizza Gorda, and more!
