Lunch Cruises

The Cruising Club tries to have at least one lunch cruise every month. Take your own boat or ride along with someone. Announcements will be made by the Cruise Directors as to dining destination and cruise details, as well as helping to accommodate any club member wishing to ride along with a participating captain.  

Men’s Luncheons

We try to have at least one men’s luncheon each month. Join your comrades at a local (or not so local) restaurant for lunch and good conversation. No worries about wind and high seas here! If you can drive (or ride along with someone), you can make this one!

Ladies Luncheons

Hey! If the men can have their time, so can the ladies! These are usually held about once a month as well. Sign up and enjoy a lunch at many of the fine restaurants nearby.

Dart Nights

Once a month, the club enjoys fine food and a fun time playing darts at the Ice House. It doesn’t matter whether you’re an expert or beginner. All are welcome and everyone has a great time. Ice House has been hosting our club for quite some time, and they do an excellent job. Prizes and bragging rights go to first and second place teams.

Happy Hour

The club enjoys happy hour every Tuesday at 5 pm at St. Andrews South Golf Club. This is a good time to socialize and sign up for upcoming activities. There are often surprise giveaways as well as a 50/50.

Membership Meetings

The club has four general membership meetings every year. After taking care of business, enjoy food supplied by the club, followed by some form of entertainment. It could be bingo, trivia, or a fun brown bag auction. Naturally, there are prizes for winners and door prizes for lucky ticket holders.

Annual Club Picnic

This huge event, usually in April, is held at either Gilchrist Park on Ponce Park. The club provides catered food and there are prizes and fun galore! Past games have been a cornhole tournament, a balloon toss, Jenga and ladder ball. This is one event not to be missed!



Poker Run

We try for this very popular activity twice a year. Join the boats sailing through the canals to collect poker hands at members’ docks, followed by informal faire at the Civic Association to reveal the lucky winners.

Special Events

We have other exciting social activities throughout the year. Members have enjoyed “Piping Down the Sun” picnics at Gilchrist Park, the Arcadia rodeo, an annual dinner dance, chili cook-offs, and evenings at Broadway Palm Theater. The club always welcomes any ideas for things to do!
