ROAD RUNNERS RV CLUB Ellen Say, President, 941-505-9605,

                                    Road Runners enjoy traveling
and really like being able to take Hogbody’s
                                    their "homes" along. Road
                                    Runners have all kinds of
                                    recreational vehicle homes
(RVs). The following is a brief
description of some of the RVs
we may call home while traveling.
                                     A class A motorhome
resembles a bus in design with a
flat or vertical front and large
                                    windows. These RVs are the
most luxurious and offer the most amenities. They can
be 45 feet long and have slide-outs that allow a wider
                 living area when parked.
 A class B motorhome is built using a conventional van.
Besides a sleeping area, they may include a
refrigerator, microwave, sofa/table, and bath area.
 A class C motorhome is characterized by a distinctive cab-over profile which contains an upper sleeping area,
storage space, or TV/entertainment section. These RVs are equipped with a kitchen/dining area, lavatory with
bath/shower, and one or more sleeping areas.
 A fifth-wheel trailer is designed to be towed by a special pickup or medium duty truck equipped with a special
in-box hitch called a fifth-wheel coupling. These RVs can be very large (up to 40 feet long) with slide-outs and
                 may be very luxurious.
 A truck camper is a living space unit that is temporarily mounted into the bed of a pickup truck.
 A travel trailer is a separate unit varying in size and amenities that is towed behind a truck, SUV, minivan, or
                 large car.

John and Beth Magnin are currently traveling around the USA in their class A motorhome. You can follow their travels
and adventures along with wonderful pictures on their blog at Beth was the former PGICA
executive director and John was in charge of The Commentator layout and design.

Upcoming events for the Road Runners in February include our regular monthly meeting on February 8 at 7 p.m. at the
PGICA. We might find out if anyone got a new RV at the Tampa RV SuperShow this year. Another Dinner and Darts at
the Ice House Pub is being planned by Sharon Schott for February 15. Watch for details. Ellen and Bruce Say are
hosting a trip to Fort Lauderdale to see the Broadway show Wicked on February 20 to 23. Diane and John Lomas are
hosting a trip to the Pioneer Days Festival in Zolfo Springs from February 28 to March 4. Florida has many small-town
festivals that we have found to be fun and interesting.

If you would like to learn more about the Road Runners and our travels, join us at one of our regular meetings on the
second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.
