PGI FISHING CLUB James McCarty,

High winds have continued to make early tarpon fishing difficult this season. Fish have been
spotty at best throughout the harbor. Sharks have started moving into shallow water following
                                schools of bait.

The trout fishing has been as good as it gets; many 18 to 21 inch fish have been caught by
club members over shallow grass flats. Redfish have been biting on oyster beds and
mangrove shorelines. Snook fishing closed as of May 1 marking the end of a wonderful
season of snook fishing in Charlotte Harbor.

Nice pictures of trout shark and snook caught by club members.

Our club is active year round with fishing events, picnics, and many other assorted activities.
