Where's My Commentator??
The Commentator is mailed at the end of the month. PGI residents have home delivery the following day, other Charlotte County residents and PO Box users get their copy a day later. Out of state deliveries take four to ten days. Commentator mailings are not forwarded and cannot be mailed outside the United States. If the Post Office has a permanent change of address on file our mailing address will be changed to that address prior to mailing. If there is no change of address the Commentator will be mailed to the address you have provided. This usually works very well except the months where seasonal residents are relocating at month’s end.
As part of membership renewal/application you provide mailing instruction.
When you complete your membership renewal please check the months you ask us to use an alternate (seasonal) address to see if it matches your current relocation schedule. If you want the November Commentator (mailed the last week of October) sent to your northern address, check the November box. Check the following months until you plan to return to PGI. If you will be here by the last week of the month (example, by March 25th) make sure there is no checkmark for that month (last month checked would be February). In this case March to October would have no check marks.
If your travels do not match our mailing dates - or your plans change there are a couple of easy solutions to keep you informed:
Call the Civic Association office at 941-637-1655 prior to the 15th of the month and request a change in your mailing location or address. You can also email the change notice to bethmagnin@pgica.org.
You can pick up a copy of the Commentator at the Association Office upon your return or if your departure is the last few days of the month.
Finally, the news content of the Commentator is available at our website www.pgiac.org.
